The Most Holy Trinity

Holy Trinity, painting on the facade, Saint Vincent de Paul chur

Today we stand before the deepest mystery of our faith — the Most Holy Trinity: one God in three Persons — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. This is not a puzzle to be solved, but a mystery to be embraced, a reality that invites us into relationship and love. God is not solitary. God is communion. Father, Son, and Holy Spirit exist in an eternal exchange of love — and we are created in that image.
In today’s Gospel (John 3:16-18), Jesus said to Nicodemus: “God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son…” Here, the Father sends the Son and the Spirit will later be poured out — all for our salvation.
The Trinity is not an abstract theological idea. It is the very heartbeat of our Christian life. The Father creates and loves us into being. The Son redeems us through His life, death and resurrection. The Holy Spirit dwells within us, guiding, strengthening and sanctifying us.
Think of the Trinity as the perfect communion of love — a love so complete that it overflows into creation, into salvation and into our daily lives. We are made in the image of this God, which means we are made for relationship, unity and self-giving love.
If we truly believe in the Trinity, then our lives must reflect that divine unity. In our families: choosing forgiveness over resentment. In our communities: building bridges instead of walls. In our faith: living not for ourselves alone, but for God and others.
As we know, the mystery of the Trinity is not meant to stay in our minds alone — it is meant to be lived. Every time we make the Sign of the Cross, we proclaim this truth: we belong to the Father, through the Son, in the Holy Spirit.
Therefore today, let us not try to “explain” the Trinity as much as we try to experience it — in prayer, in love and in unity, we build with one another.
Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit — as it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.  Fr. Aegidius Warsito, SCJ

ShareLife Sunday collections take place this weekend, celebrating 50th anniversary

Today is our third weekend of special collections for ShareLife Sunday. Reverence for life at all stages has been a core principle of ShareLife since its founding in 1976. We recognize the sacredness of life from conception to natural death. ShareLife-funded agencies uphold this value in everything they do, bringing hope, healing and compassion to those who need it most.
This mission of love is witnessed at Rose of Sharon, where Executive Director, Deanne Kukulewich, gratefully notes that “your commitment to ShareLife is an investment in young parents and their futures, fostering a community where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.”
Please give at the parish using a ShareLife envelope, or online through the parish or at sharelife.org/donate.
