This Sunday, we enter into Holy Week with Palm Sunday celebration. This celebration invites us into the mystery of a King who reigns through humility and love. We begin with shouts of “Hosanna!”, palms raised high in celebration, yet the journey quickly leads us toward the solemn shadow of the cross. This is the rhythm of our faith: joy intertwined with sacrifice, hope woven through suffering.
In Matthew’s Gospel for Year A, Jesus enters Jerusalem not with force, but with gentleness, riding on a donkey. His power is not in armies or wealth, but in a love so deep it will endure betrayal, denial, and death. The same crowd that welcomes Him with praise will soon cry for His crucifixion. It is a sobering reminder of how easily our hearts can turn when faith is tested.
Palm Sunday is more than a commemoration; it is a personal invitation. Jesus calls us to follow Him not only in moments of triumph, but also along the narrow road of self-giving love. To walk with Him through Holy Week is to discover that the cross is not the end, but it is the doorway to life, hope, and resurrection.
As we enter Holy Week, we are called to walk with Jesus step by step: to sit with Him in the Upper Room, to keep watch with Him in Gethsemane, to stand at the foot of the cross, and to wait in hope for the dawn of Easter. This journey is not easy, but it is the path to life. The palms we hold today are not just symbols of celebration, but they are also signs of our commitment to follow Christ wherever He leads, trusting that beyond the cross lies the victory of resurrection.
May we lift our palms with sincerity, walk with courage through the trials ahead, and keep our eyes fixed on the promise of Easter morning.
“Lord Jesus, strengthen our hearts to follow You faithfully, so that in dying to ourselves, we may rise with You to new life.”

Help Not Harm: Support Bill C-218
You are invited to visit HelpNotHarmCanada.ca to respectfully contact your federal Member of Parliament, urging them to support Bill C-218 (The Right to Recover Act). This legislation would amend the Criminal Code to ensure that Medical Assistance in Dying (MAiD) is not extended to individuals who have mental illness. Without this amendment, MAiD will be available for mental illness alone beginning in March 2027. A vote is expected to take place mid-April 2026. Visit HelpNotHarmCanada.ca today and ask your MP to support Bill C-218.

SHARELIFE 2026
With your support of ShareLife, despair turns to hope
When Eulogio learned his wife was pregnant—not just with one baby, but with twins—his joy multiplied. He dreamed of raising David and Emmanuel with the same love and care he had given his firstborn, determined to provide them with a warm home and a future full of possibility. But then, a devastating accident cost Eulogio his job. The weight of hunger and uncertainty grew heavier each day. Because of your kindness, ShareLife was able to step in. With your gift to ShareLife, you can enable more fathers like Eulogio to carry the strength to face tomorrow. Please give at the parish or online at sharelife.org/donate.
